Smooth interlock in olive green has a matte surface and matte appearance. Its hand is substantial but remains gentle against the palm. When lifted, it falls softly, and it stretches noticeably under tension. Its character is best seen in a larger sample that allows body, resilience, and drape to be assessed together.

Surface, hand, and construction

The knit's surface is double-sided and smooth. Olive green can be combined with cream, greige, or dark brown and paired with black for stronger contrast. The color looks understated on the matte fabric. At 210 GSM, the interlock is medium in thickness and has a compact, dense construction. It is worth assessing both while stretching and after laying it flat again. The fabric is 160 cm wide.

Drape, opacity, and comfort

The composition is 80% polyamide and 20% spandex. High stretch in two directions combines with good recovery to the original shape. It provides full opacity. It is cool to the touch, pleasant against the skin, and soft, which can be appreciated when draping a larger piece over the hand. The knit is fluid and drapes easily. It retains stability and shape, so its arrangement can be assessed both in folds and on a flat surface while working. The interlock can be used for dresses, tops, or dancewear pieces.

Cutting, sewing, and finishing

When combining similar greens, compare samples side by side, including in proportions that match the widths of the planned panels or finishes. The noticeable body is worth considering when planning several layers at one edge. A test hem will show how that edge lies. When using this quality, choose a pattern and ease appropriate for a stretch knit. Check the seam as well: after stretching the sample, it should allow the fabric to move freely. When planning the cutting layout, include larger pieces, small elements, and seam allowances. The fabric should rest freely, supported at the end of the table as well. This allows its actual dimensions to be measured. Year-round use makes it easier to include the knit in designs prepared for different seasons, depending on the style and how layers are combined.

Care and durability

The fabric has an anti-pilling finish that limits pilling. It is distinguished by resistance to abrasion, stretching out, and frequent washing. After washing, it retains its color and shape, while low shrinkage helps maintain dimensions. A low tendency to wrinkle is useful in everyday use when a smooth knit surface is desired.
